Hello all, I thought it was time for a decent sized update, since its been many months.
First of all thanks to everyone whose been commissioning me recently, really, you guys have been making it a hell of a lot easier for me to breathe (and also, you know, buy things like food, which also helps). Per the update, WELL, what has changed?
Unfortunately, my husband has been unsuccessful in finding a job, which is more or less why I set down WoW to work full time. This sucks because I do really miss my friends on WoW, but currently I just don't have the time for it. It's been fived months at least, and Mike and I are still doing all that we can to try and find a decent job around here. Unfortunately, we end up with scam offers, people telling us they want him to come in, but they don't say where, no address, they leave a phone number that either doesn't work, is never answered, is answered by a machine OR (and this is funny) he calls them back for them to say they never contacted him and are not offering him a job at all. Some of the offers he has gotten are temporary positions out of state, for which they will not pay for us to move (6 months at most) and a lot of the offers he's gotten have required skills/training/degrees he doesn't have. So he calls them back to ask about getting training, and most of them usually immediately say no. To date, in all these months, he's had only 1 interview, and it was promising, but they never called back. So, where do we go from here? Many of you know that I was forced to put school on hold because I could no longer afford to go. Parking alone is around $300 a semester, tuition is somewhere in the ball park of $1400 for ONE class for ONE semester, and supplies can be anywhere from $80-$600. Lets not even mention gas. The school I go to is about 30-45 minutes away from me, one way, depending on traffic, it can take over an hour, on the freeway. This amounts to having to refill my tank almost every week, and as anyone in California knows, gas out here can be terrible. It hasn't been too bad recently, but suffice to say, its still money I don't have. I have stayed out this semester (they call it a stop-out), and at the end of it, if I don't apply for classes in spring, I effectively get dropped from the school. I have to submit leave of absence paperwork in order top take a longer break. Even then, how long would I take? I have no idea how long it's going to take us to find work out here, or how long the maximum leave of absence is. Even then, I have about 2 years left of school, and once I finish it, I am not guaranteed a job.. especially out here, in cali, the Graphic Design field is so competitive that it leads one to feel like they're in a tank of 200 goldfish fighting over 1 flake of food.
However, I have heard great things about other states, and his parents have always told us (and already brought up) that we would be able to stay with them until we got back on our feet.
So. That said, we have decided to move. I have no reason to stay here any more beyond my one close friend who lives here, Jon, and my possible degree. But, I can get my degree anywhere, and credits can be transferred. In the meanwhile, we can find a job, find our own apartment finally, and move on with our lives. I am going to be 28 this year. Moving on with my life, moving out, having our own place, is the single biggest thing that I have wanted for a very, very long time, as most of my close friends know. I hate it here- living with my mom, in california, overpaying for everything, dealing with the not-too-subtle reverse racism just because I happen to be white living in a very not-white area, despite that I am very, very against racism and the idea that anyone should be treated differently for the color of their skin, or anything else that they happen to be, for that matter. Yet, I am treated differently every day that I live here. People in California, especially in this area, treat eachother like numbers. No one here actually cares about anyone else, especially in the work place, and it's just... it's sickening, to be honest with you. To anyone who would want to move here: please for your own sakes. Don't. NEVER do. If you are in a low to medium wealth house, do not move here. YOU cannot get ahead here, at all. If you plan on having kids? Expect that those kids will be unable to move out until at LEAST 25, especially if you want them to go to college after highschool. I have talked to people who are in their 50s and 60s, who have been here either since (forever) or their early adulthood, and they're still stuck in shitty neighborhoods with shitty jobs, broken cars, massive debts. And its like, Yeah, people say OH but the weather is great!... Dude, no it isn't. It gets 117 where I'm at in the summer, is so dry from spring-fall that my nose cracks and bleeds, it NEVER rains, so the entire state is on water rationing (I hope you like only being able to water your yard at stupid hours of the night, and virtually never being able to wash your own car on your own driveway.) The only 'nice' places n SoCal are the ridiculously expensive places to live, like in the hills, on the beach, or in the really finer neighborhoods. These nice places are what is commonly advertised about California. The reality is that most of So Cal is a low income, high population, gang and mafia ridden cesspit of crime. My sister was mugged on the very street we live on, my husband had things stolen out of his car, sitting right in front of our house, I personally had someone come up to my window and try speaking to me through it at 3 in the fucking morning while he tried to case our house. Really guys? Why the fuck would anyone want to live here/stay here?
ANYWAY, END RANT.
So we are moving. I don't know when, yet, but probably around July. We're going to give job hunting a couple more months and get our affairs ready to go, since we have to wait for mike's pension to come back to us so we can actually.. go. Recent events have tipped the scales and well, you know, it's time to go. Obviously I will seriously miss the people I am leaving here, but at this point, we need to do what is best for us. To move on. This is what I and he both want most.

A new chapter
This is another major life update. I know I don't usually put out updates this frequently but this deserves a post of some kind in effort to get a few lingering concerns off my chest. I've decided to close commissions indefinitely, and here I will explain why. I know this will come as a disappointment to many, but I hope you will understand after reading this. My last update was two months ago, regarding my upcoming surgery and various other health problems. I am happy to report that my work with the chiropractor has yielded tremendous results in my neck and shoulders. They're not fixed yet, but still better than they were by a very large margin. Additionally, my sinus surgery went well and I am mostly fully recovered, with only a few issues here or there, which is normal. My hope was that my eye issues, the strain and light sensitivity would fade after the surgery, either because of time spent away or because my sinuses were in fact themselves somehow impacting the muscles in the
Life Update
Hi friends, watchers, all. This is a general life update. I do my best to keep real life matters relatively private or to just a few close friends, but enough has been going on that I can no longer keep these things as veiled as I have been. I try to keep myself as upbeat and uplifting as I can so as not to bring down those around me. Lately, this has become exceptionally difficult for a number of health reasons. Over the last few years, my health has deteriorated from one issue to another. Some of those issues I have overcome, but now? I am faced with some issues that require some serious lifestyle changes if I mean to improve. The full scope of my health issues are more complicated than this, but, at the top of my list, my eyes, my sinuses, my neck and not the least of them, my anxiety. I have taken the last two months off to focus on personal works, hoping that finishing some of these personal projects would ease some of the anxiety, and they have, slightly, but there is still
